The amount of great new books hitting shelves each month can be overwhelming but we’ve rounded up ten of the buzziest books coming out this February—no matter what genre you’re interested in. A ​Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

A ​Court of Silver Flames is one of the year’s most highly-anticipated releases. Maas fans have been long awaiting this first installment in a new series, which follows Nesta Archeron, a human turned High Fae against her will, and Cassian, the warrior who has been able to read her like no one else since their first meeting. Nesta is coping with the aftermath of the war with Hybern while struggling to find her place in a world she never asked to be a part of. Meanwhile, a new danger appears on the horizon to ruin the fragile peace the Night Court fought hard to win.

My Year Abroad by Chang-rae Lee

Chang-rae Lee’s novel is split between Tiller Bardmon’s present-day life living with a woman and her 8-year-old son—who are in witness protection after helping the government find her gangster husband—and Tiller’s experiences the year before as the mentee to entrepreneur Pong Lou. Pong sees something special in Tiller and invites him on a trip to Asia. Lee blends the highs and lows of Tiller’s journey with a thoughtful look at identity, culture, and the bonds that tie people together.

Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

Elle Cosimano makes her adult debut with this laugh-out-loud mystery. Romantic suspense novelist Finlay Donovan is mistaken for a contract killer when Patricia Mickler overhears her discussing her next book. Patricia offers Finn $50,000 to kill her husband, Harris. Before she knows it, Finn is wrapped up in a mystery involving pissed off Russians, scheming wives, and a detective attractive enough to have stepped out of the pages of one of her novels.

Wild Rain by Beverly Jenkins

The second installment in Beverly Jenkins’ Women Who Dare series is a must-read for romance readers this month. Garrett McCray arrives in Wyoming with the intention of interviewing Colton Lee for an article in the Black-owned newspaper he writes for. Instead, he finds himself more interested in Spring, Colton’s rancher sister. Fans of Jenkins’ Old West series will love reuniting with Colton and Spring, while those unfamiliar with her earlier series can easily read Wild Rain as a stand-alone.

We Are the Ashes, We Are the Fire by Joy McCullough

Joy McCullough returns with a YA novel-in-verse this month. Em Morales became her sister’s fiercest advocate and protector when her sister’s rapist was taken to court. But when the judge takes a lenient stance and doesn’t rule in favor of prison time, Em is at a loss. Struggling to help her family cope and heal in the face of injustice, she finds solace in the story of Marguerite de Bressieux, a 15th-century French noblewoman known for avenging rape survivors.

Quiet in Her Bones by Nalini Singh

Ten years after she disappeared, socialite Nina Rai’s bones are found in the woods near her home. Her son Aarav believes he overheard something important on the night she vanished and is determined to discover who killed her and why. Readers looking to get lost in a mystery this February will want to pick up Nalini Singh’s second mystery.

The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey

Sarah Gailey blends science fiction and thrills in this new release. Dr. Evelyn Caldwell is shocked to learn that her husband Nathan used her own research to clone her. Martine is designed to be everything Evelyn isn’t—biddable to Nathan’s every wish. When a confrontation between the three ends in Nathan’s death, Evelyn and Martine are left to clean up the mess. Together they discover he’s hiding more secrets than either realized.

Dark Horses by Susan Mihalic

Readers who couldn’t put down My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell are likely to lose themselves in Susan Mihalic’s first novel. Roan Montgomery is a 15-year-old equestrian with eyes set on the Olympics. Her controlling and abusive father manages every aspect of her life, but Roan begins to imagine what it would be like to break free of him as she starts to fall for her classmate Will Howard. With multiple starred reviews, this is certain to be one of the most-talked-about books of the month.

The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna

At the ceremony that decides whether or not Deka is welcomed into her village her blood runs gold instead of red, a mark of impurity. She’s sentenced to death, but when a strange woman offers her the opportunity to escape, she takes it and sets off on a journey to find other girls like her who bleed gold and possess incredible powers. Young adult fantasy fans won’t want to miss out on Namina Forna’s debut.

Gray Hair Don’t Care by Karen Booth

Waking up alone after a one-night stand lights a fire under Lela Bennett. After discovering that Donovan James, her college crush, slipped out while she was sleeping, Lela decides done with men and ready to go all-in on building up her confidence. Three years later she’s owning her age and her gray hair while running a beauty division at a lifestyle company. It’s there she comes face-to-face with Donovan again. He’s stunned by how different she is, and finds that he can’t seem to stay away from her.
