Toto by A. J. Hackwith

Prepare for your viewing of Wicked this November by reading Toto, a retelling of The Wizard of Oz from the perspective of Dorothy’s most loyal companion. Armed with snark and a general distrust for the weirdness of Oz, this little dog is prepared to help Dorothy sniff out the truth of what is going on in Oz and to try to keep her out of the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Guilt and Ginataan by Mia P. Manansala

Return to Shady Palms this fall for another cozy mystery from Mia P. Manansala. The Shady Palms Corn Festival is in full swing and Lila Macapagal is in attendance with her Brew-ha Cafe crew: Adeena and Elena. The three expect to have a fun time when not serving the crowds, but things take a turn when Adeena is found unconscious and clutching a bloody knife… beside a dead body.

Duchess Material by Emily Sullivan

After inheriting a dukedom, William Margrave is determined to live up to his new title. His first order of business: find and marry his perfect duchess. Interstellar MegaChef by Lavanya Lakshminarayan

Serenity Ko, a tech developer on the planet Primus, assumes her latest simulation will earn her a promotion. When it instead results in her company sending her on a mandatory vacation to focus on her work/life balance, Ko sets her sights on a new project: introducing food into the virtual reality space. She needs some help though and seems to have found the perfect partner in Saras, an Earthling recently kicked off the cooking competition Interstellar MegaChef.

Visitations by Corey Egbert

Corey Egbert drew inspiration from his own childhood for this YA graphic novel about family, mental health, and religion. After his parents’ divorce, Corey’s mother becomes increasingly distrustful of his father and, after claiming to receive a vision from God, takes Corey and his sister on the run. As they hide out in their car in the desert, Corey begins to dream of a ghostly girl.

The Jewel of the Blues by Monica Chenault-Kilgore

Blues singer Lucille Arnetta Love dreams of seeing her name up in lights on Broadway.
