Sunset, Water City by Chris McKinney
Chris McKinney brings his sci-fi noir trilogy to a close next month. This installment picks up ten years after the second book, which saw the human population of Earth either possessed or killed by the scientist once thought to be their savior. The series’ unnamed narrator and his daughter work together to survive the post-apocalyptic world and to hunt for a way to start anew. Series fans can jump right in, and new readers should start at the beginning!
The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson
Halloween may be behind us, but it’s always shifter season for romance readers. In this paranormal romance, wolf shifters Mackenzie Carter and Noah Taylor find themselves in need of a mate and agree to fake a relationship. At first all seems well: MacKenzie’s grandmother will stop hounding her about settling down, and cardiologist Noah can smooth over his relationship with the hospital board. But as they spend time together, they realize that their fake setup is resulting in very real feelings. If you can’t get enough omegaverse stories, don’t miss out on this one.
Her Dark Wings by Melinda Salisbury
Young adult readers can take a trip to the Underworld this December with this reimagining of the Persephone myth. Seventeen-year-old Corey is shattered after the sudden death of Bree. Not only were they best friends, but Bree recently betrayed Corey and left their friendship in ruins. Half convinced that her own desire for harm to come to Bree led to her death, Corey journeys with Hades to the Underworld to learn what truly happened to Bree.
Flores and Miss Paula by Melissa Rivero
Readers who love family stories will want to check out this book about a Peruvian immigrant and her millennial daughter.
